What's everyone's Infinite Flight story?

What’s everyone’s Infinite Flight story ? , here’s mine

I started by discovering an app on the iPad called Infinite Flight, I just bought an iPad for my birthday and as my hobby was plane spotting I wanted a flight sim for my tablet, low and behold I found Infinite Flight. After purchasing a few Aircraft and the UK region I quickly fell in love with the Airbus A340-600 and put many hours in solo mode doing circuit’s over Heathrow in the Virgin Atlantic livery.

After year or so I got distracted in life as I started college (Im from the UK so when I finished Secondary school) and getting a part time job in a undisclosed fast food chain beginning with the letter “M” I forgot about Infinite flight until I found out through YouTube or Facebook that global was a thing, so I reinstalled the App and 6 years later I’m still here 🤣.

My favourite Aircraft to flight has got to be the A350, I can always butter the landing for some strange reason and the aircraft I want to fly more often but I don’t fly enough off is the Cessna 172 and the Xcub. I’m proud to be apart of the airport editing team and I have two airports already in the SIM.

I hope you share your story of your infinite flight journey I think it would be great to here everyone’s story !

I downloaded first on a long lost device around 2018. That device was lost and I forgot about the app before I found the app on a random App Store search in late 2021 again and flew around without pro. Starting in the summer of 2022 I bought my first pro membership and joined the community. In late 2022 I truly became active on the ifc and started posting quite a bit. I believe it was either in January or February when I began really helping out the community and contributing with some articles , applying for things like ifaet and others. I have been here since and it continues to amaze me how much we grow and develop every year.

I searched up “airplane” or something in like 2017 and came across IF, I couldn’t get the game unfortunately (it was $4.99 back then) in 2020 I bought an iTunes card and decided to buy it along with GTA San Andreas but never really got into the game until March 2022 when I was bored on a Colombia trip, I got attached to the game and things got better in May 2022 when I got PRO for the first time and really went to explore the world, I didn’t play multiplayer too much until March 2023 and eventually got attached to it and I’ve been like this ever since!

Way back in 2013 i’ve been playing various flight sims and the one that i played the most was X-plane 9. It wasn’t until 2014 when my brother introduced me to Infinite Flight as a potential new flight sim to try out. So on December of that same year i got IF and bought the A320 which at the time was brand spanking new. Since i’ve had a flight sim before IF, i actually got the hang of Infinite Flight and was able to take my newly bought plane to the skies of IF.

I still remember my first flight on live because back then in order to spawn in a gate at a large airport like LAX, you had to be a certain level so i would always spawn at San Bernandino and fly to LAX on the Jetblue A320. And from there started my IF journey.

This December will mark my 10 years using Infinite Flight and i hope to continue using it. Although when it comes to flying online, i’m on and off as sometimes i get too busy with life and can’t continue to buy the subs, but soon i may be back again and get my grade 5 again.

Way back in 2013 I would watch people play FSX and I wanted to play something related to it, so I searched up “airplane games” on the App Store hoping I find something close to it and I stumbled upon infinite flight, im pretty sure back then you had to pay to download the app as well.

For me, I discovered Infinite Flight back in 2014, but didn’t play it until 2016/17.

It all started when my friend’s dad recommended this flight sim. Of course, I was into planes so he thought I’d be interested. The first time I tried it, I honestly had no idea what I was doing. I was so used to flight games such as “Airplane”, where you had a throttle and a joystick. That was it. Super basic. So when I discovered Infinite Flight and all of its buttons, it definitely overwhelmed me. So I left it. 😂

Then 1 or 2 years later, I found it on my sister’s iPad. It’s something like if you download a game on one device, it’ll download on your other device. Anyway, I deleted it on my iPad, but was still a thing on my sister’s iPad. I gave it a try again and with some better knowledge, I managed to pick it up fairly quickly. It was during the phase where you could only fly in certain regions and the beautiful water texture. Before global basically. Good times! From there on, it just became something I played everyday.

Then by the end of 2017, I created a YouTube channel. I based it off Infinite Flight gameplay at first. Throughout the years, it did very well. Then I moved on to Infinite Flight news videos which did even better! As soon as any news were announced, I’d make a video on it immediately. I managed to gain about 4,000 subscribers in about 2 years which brings me to my next milestone. A beta tester.

Youtube has definitely helped me to put myself out there I think, and without it, I don’t think I would’ve become a beta tester. With some help from long Infinite Flight friends as well, I wouldn’t be where I am. Unfortunately, now that I am a beta tester, I’ve had to complete ditch Infinite Flight News videos as I pretty much know everything that was coming. It made no sense for me to make videos on things I already know. It was also a risky job, just in case I leaked anything. So my channel has undergone a rebrand, flight reviews!

After that, I’ve participated in fly out events, community meet ups, flight sim events and more. Infinite Flight has also played a huge roll in understanding aviation in general and has helped to work towards my goal of being a pilot. It’s honestly just been so great!

It’s been such an amazing journey so far, and I’m so glad to be part of Infinite Flight and its fantastic community! ❤️

In 2019 I actually was more interested in trains and ships but I was also interested in aviation a little bit and every evening I watched swiss001s “top 3 worst flight simulators” videos and he once compared infinite flight to xplane and infinite flight looked so cool so I installed it because I still had about 7 bucks on my iTunes card and I was so impressed by the airplanes and regions and sometime in late 2019 I got the subscription.

I remember that I always wanted to midair crash with someone but never had the chance without and subscription and I before my subscription I always role played dramatic plane crashes and always performed air shows with an Vueling a321 and an Qantas a380 and 747
