What would you like aircraft manufacturers to do next

The in development 797 is going to fill a similar role to the 757.

A 6th Generation Fighter? I would squawk 7500 just to see it if it ever begins operations 👍🏻😂😜😝

But seriously. DON’T.

In my opinion, this is not about what I’d like. Rather, it is about what the manufacturers think is the right decision.

I’d like every manufacturer to make what they have evaluated to be the best decision.

Anyone

An around 36 seater (like the dash 8 q200) and a true 757 replacement, a whole new design

I also want a new manufacturing company in the western world. An entry into the long haul like the CSeries. And any electric commercial aircraft.

Considering the Antonov An-254 Mryia is 275ft and has 6 engines, I don’t think that will be happening.

My opinions on your “predictions”:
Boeing-Already gonna happen in 2020s
Airbus-Nothing gonna come out of an A380 neo
Bombadier- Eh, I don’t follow tiny thing like that
Lockheed-They can do what they want
Anyone- Whaaaa??? That ain’t gonna happen

I agree with all of your points minus the ‘anyone’. There has been quite a lot of research into making supersonic booms less dangerous, and fuel consumption more efficient. Those are all signs of maybe another supersonic airliner some time in the future.

I think Boeing is accelerating their NSA/NMA program. They realized they needed a clean-sheet for Airbus’ NEO line of aircraft.

Way too inefficient and there would obviously be a sound issue there. I agree with in that I’d love to see it back in action but it just wouldnt be plausible…
