What would be the best argument to convince people to buy IF

So i know IF is generally used by Av Geeks, but when im in school all my friends get interested in my flights, i sorta get nervous when they do that, like get in groups of 5 to see me fly, so i ask them, Why dont you buy the game? They tell me they dont have any argument, or reason to play it… One of my friends is a sort of Av Geek and he asked me to use my icloud to download the game on his device, i did give him the app, still i didnt give him the pro subscription… Any advice on what to tell my friends who always see me to buy the game??? Pls help

Ok, well. You are one lucky guy to have people in your school actually interested in aviation. You shouldn’t get nervous, but rather try to tell them about the workings and semantics of flight. Avgeeks like us are only interested in flight because of a feeling it gives us, the feeling of interest.

I think Downloading the app over the cloud to someone else might count as breaking the T&C of using the App. so Dont do that!

If they are also into aviation then I am sure that you can show them how the flight is handled and show them some of the features. If they are true Avfans then i am sure they can buy the app themselves

And they are not into aviation, they just like, get hypnotized by the game

If they aren’t avgeeks then they probably won’t be interested in the app if they got it themselves anyway.

People might disagree but I believe the price for what you get is a great selling point. For an App, it’s definitely worth the money. I think simply showing a quick demo of the sim is good enough.

I would tell them what they get if they but it, not what they need to pay to get it if that makes sense.

I got this app knowing nothing about aviation, and now I can do successful flights pretty much anywhere, thanks to Infinite Flight’s massive community, and in-depth tutorials.

Anyone can become a pilot on here - and I think the price is awesome for what you get. Not only do you get Infinire Flight, but amazing tutorials, and meet awesome people on the community.

Man… You have some people actually interested in IF? I wish my school was like that man, because if I had shown everyone, probably 10-15 people would indeed buy the game.

To answer your question however, it really depends on the persons perspective. You cannot force them. (gone there , gone that.) The best bet is show your “group” the positive aspects of the game for example: scenery, all the different types of aircrafts and tryshow them what everyday KLAX is like on TS1 ;) . Again, those are opinions to spark interests in the groups perspective.

Just tell them if you guys gonna watch then watch your own Aircraft as you fly it in your own IFSIM pro account and if not then back off cause I can feel someone breathing over my shoulder and that’s creeping me out. Plus I can tell you like the flight simulator.

I subscribed after only a week of using IF. I never understoood flight like I do now, but coming into it with very little knowledge and coming out as a flight enthusiast has really put this simulator into perspective in an enjoyable way

Start by asking what they know about flying, then slowly ease into it, adding the real terms that avgeeks would use, not what they would understand. That invites them to ask questions about it, continue to make it sound cool, but also remind them on longer flights it can get boring over the ocean, but with global, there is always something to look at. Do some scenic flights in a Cessna 172 around busy airports on live, or around mountains by Denver. I have gotten at least 6 people interested in IF just by doing this. Try it out if they like to gather around and watch. Its possible, show them the cool parts of the simulator, while also telling them, long drawn out flights get boring. Add in the IFC and VAs too, even more to be drawn to.

I am currently working on a instruction booklet for introduction to flight simulators. I can send it when done.

I don’t think you should worry yourself if they don’t want to play it. Don’t look for other peoples’ assurances over things you love. Just my 2 cents worth
