What was the biggest aviation mistake you saw on TV?

To start my own topic off, I have no idea how to answer it. Start it off, community, the thread’s all yours

Do you mean something that wasn’t correct about aviation on TV? (Like showing an A321 and taking about a 737 Max)

Yeah something like that, it could be anything incorrect they made

There’s no real rules to it just stick to the title and that’s about it

Sorry to be that guy once again, but I believe this topic covers that (correct me if there’s an aspect or nuance I’m missing):

Hmmm I’ve seen that one but I’m not sure it’s exactly like it? That topic is mainly based on misconceptions and opinions from non avgeeks, not really on tv where a statement was made publicly

Isn’t that also the idea of your topic? Except you’re singling it out to only mistakes on TV?

Yes but, mistakes can vary from misconceptions and opinions, to being other things, like fake stats, or possibly an aircraft not matching to what they are explaining, it’s just things like that, that are not mentioned in that topic. My topic also adds irrelevancy to a lot of things which that other one did not

Airplane repo, that was a big mistake

The mistake I say on tv was I think they were talking about a 767 and they showed a cartoon plane with little sticks for gears😂

Hahaha yes

Hmm do you have a link for that? I don’t know if I’ve seen it

In one movie, after supposed “stall.” The aircraft just stood still in the sky, and then just goes down, without moving forward.

After that moment, my childhood was crushed.

Was it an aviation invented movie? If it was then that’s just a big oof

There is a whole video but here is the picture

That’s the source ^^^ @Riley_Bozina

Oh that yes I saw that hahaha that mistake will forever stick in an avgeeks mind when they think of something like this

This was before the c series was rebranded to the a220 and before airbus took over
“How to tell the difference between Boeing and Airbus planes” proceeds to show a Bombardier

Damn that’s tragic

One of the hangover movies, or whatever they’re called, i believe it showed them taking off in one aircraft, then cruising in a 744 and then landing in a completely different one. and with another movie i forget the name, taking off in a 737 and the cruising in a 744 but never got to see the landing😂

May I ask how?
