Basically, I was flying a ba a320 from Heathrow to Dublin on the expert server. I feel like it’s worth mentioning that I haven’t played this in a while so I’m a little rusty. My flight plan was set to land at runway 10r at Dublin. I was contacted by Dublin tower who asked for my intentions. I said I was inbound for landing at runway 10r (I didn’t really know what to say so I just went with that). I was then told to enter to enter runway 16 right downwind. I knew what this meant, but I was still like 10 miles south of the airport so my plan was to just proceed on my flight plan and adjust the heading as required. The ATC told me to enter runway 16 right downwind again, so I just quit out as I had no idea what to do.

Adjust your heading immediately next time to set up on a right downwind :) that’s all. And check the ATIS so you’re not caught unawares next time.
Also, be prepared to change or not follow your flight plan. ATC instructions take precedence. We try to accommodate runway requests at most times but if it’s busy or the winds aren’t favourable etc., then it doesn’t become possible.

Yeah it was pretty windy around the Irish Sea then I’m guessing that’s why. Thank you!
