What was I doing wrong?

Just to avoid future mistakes ( ghosting), I will like to know what I did or did not do. I was flying into PHTO just a while ago. The approach controller (GHamsz) vectored me to turn and descend to 2500ft cleared for ILS approach runway 26. I turned to and the was told to execute missed approach.vectored to turn XXX, climb to 3000ft( which I did). Then was told to study tutorials for ATC instructions… Then turn XXX decesend and maintain 2500ft…cleared ILS approach runway 26( which I did ) then again study tutorial for ATC instructions… At which time I chickened out( felt a ghost coming). What was doing wrong?
