What VS does ATC expect you to use?

When ATC tells you to ascend and descend to a specific altitude, what VS are the ATC expecting you to have?

For me 1000vs is good. I just want to see that my instructions are being followed.

Aircrafts in real world sink 1.000 ft every 3 miles.
Below 10.000 ft that’s 900-1.400 ft/min depending on the speed.

I drop at 1,000-1,500 and sometimes 2,000 depending on both speed and my destination distance. If ATC give me time to do it, then 1,000. If they’re late and I need to get down I’ll go to 2,000. But at 2,000 you need to be a it 200-210kts w/10* of flaps to keep the plane level.
