What trim do you guys use for takeoff?

Me personally i use 25% trim or 15%

I don’t use trim

I tend to just leave it on the spawn default, I find that works decent.

On new aircraft its usually 5%-25%, while on aircraft like the 787 I go zero since with trim it lifts off before the V speed (atleast simbrief)

I usually adjust it after retracting the gear.

It’s up to personal preference, I tried many presets but I found the 0% trim one to make it the best for me.

I use whatever setting is needed to not see the green trim indication.
It differs per aircraft and also depends on the weight.

I don’t set my trim, I trim during my take off to better get the controlls of the aircraft, like in real life too.

I use it often even on takeoff and while landing almost about 20-25 or sometimes 30. its very useful while flaring!!

I’ve kinda figured out all my preferred trim settings for the aircraft a usually use. For the 737 I’ll do 10-15%. For the A320 I’ll do 5%. For the challenger 350 I’ll do 45%.

Though on landing I usually use a much higher trim setting.

20% always expect for 787 where I use none

I use 5% - 10% for takeoffs that don’t use the whole runway or doesn’t need 100% power.

10% - 20% for long takeoffs or 100% power or very heavy aircraft such as an A380 fully loaded

Depends on the aircraft type.
A320 CEO family 0
A330s 30%
A340 don’t really fly
A350-900 30%
A380 30-50%
717 don’t really fly
737 NG Family 15%
747 family 30%
757-200 20%
767-300ER 40%
777 family 30%
787 family 20%
CRJ family don’t realy fly
ERJ-175 30%
ERJ-190 30%
DC-10s don’t really fly
MD-11s don’t really fly
The rest I don’t really fly

Yeah, I leave it at whatever. Unless it got saved at a very high percentage in some direction for whatever reason.

Just being aware of possible adverse offsets:

But I’ve never really had a problem with device pitch angle range being adequate enough to accomplish the needed task (though, of course, way beyond “neutral” can increase the burden, in some circumstances more than others.)

Thank you very much you helped me a lot

For a smooth rotation, I always take a very very high trim.
On the 787 around 100% load is 30% trim and other aircraft’s like a388 on 100% load is 40% or even 50%
I’ve usually noticed the MD11F and MD11 is hard to lift up so I use a lot of trim in them as well.

I’m using trim but depends of the airplane in my opinion.

For example if i’m flying the B737 then I use 30-40%, depending of the runway distance. When Im flying the B777 then I use a trim around 10%.
