Hey guys just wondering what speed should I take off at in the A318 when the weather is windy, because I usually get pushed to the side of the runway at lift off when it’s pretty windy
That’s not about your speed, that’s because you are taking off into a crosswind. Basically, when there is a wind from the side, the tail catches it, causing the nose to point into the wind. If you know that it’s coming, all you need to do is to use a little rudder in the opposite direction. Separately, depending on weight, between 135 and 150 knots is a good rotation speed for the A318.
