What speed do you fly at?

On 737, A320 and ERJ Mach 0.75-0.79 on 757, and A330, Mach 0.80-0.82 and on 777, A350 ,and A380, Mach 0.82-0.85.

Depends on how I feel for the day. I use Simbrief so, if I want to be a :musical_notes:S P E E D D E M O N🎶, I’ll set my CI to the maximum and fly at that speed :racing_car::dashing_away:. If I feel like to slow it down and savor the ride :sunrise:, I’ll set the minimum. If I don’t really care, I’ll just leave it as it is by default. Some planes don’t have a specific way to manually change speed, so I use what I see on the OFP generated :clipboard:. Also, I leave my fuel as it is. I create my own airframe and adjust the performance to meet IF, so I have no need to change fuel. I just conduct a maximum range test flight to get fuel factor data and then do an actual flight using it.

imo the most realistic 0.82-0.85 mach

A320 and 737, always 0.78, maybe .79. A350, 787 and 380 i go 0.85. triple 7 always .84

I always make my briefing with simbrief and i fly about from 35.000 to 39.000 feet at 0.78 mach, wich is writed in my briefing sheet, only when I flew the E175 i went to 0.75 mach at 24.000 feet, but now i only use the A330 so my speed is 0.78 mach at least

considering all the violations I’ve received on speeding (new call sign: Fast and Furious Air Peach 1) I really watch my speed now. When ascending I set it to 300 until my final altitude and just leave it. Which usually translates between .8 - .85 m cruising speed depending on the aircraft.

Nicely said but there’s one thing I still struggle to understand it the reference in speed : If you tell me for example to use a CX of 20, what would be the speed reference here and also what mc. number ?

20 over the limit

for any feds or cops reading this it’s a joke yall

Please where does simbrief indicate airspeed am interested?

Simbrief doesn’t directly quote indicated airspeed, however it quotes the Mach Speed Number for each waypoint in the PDF - see example below:

You can also use the website linked below by inputting in your simbrief username - it will produce a table that lists each waypoint, and both the Mach Speed and Indicated Airspeed at that waypoint:

I like to use the speed indicated IRL, this varies per aircraft though.

Nrrowbodies: M0.78 usually. Widebodies: M0.84 or M0.85. I never push the limits because of realism.

Correct! This and always this
