I always see stories of pilots families secretly being on board to surprise him or the other way around. As well as little kids being super excited to look at the cockpit or flying for the first time.
For the amount of flights I’ve been on I haven’t seen many wholesome moments expect for 2.

July 13th, 2021. I had a layover in Minneapolis (@Mort summons) heading to Dulles. At the time my mental health wasn’t in the best state and it caused me to have really bad anxiety attacks for no reason. I boarded the plane with my Mom and Sister (We flew on a Crj900 Delta) and I was on the left side of the aircraft and they were on the right side. I had sat down next to a stranger and just hung out. We were in the very back of the plane. As boarding begins to be done I start sweating intensely and hyperventilating. This is quite embarrassing but I did cry for some reason. I couldnt do anything in the moment because all of my medications were in the luggage below the plane. As we’re getting ready to disconnect the gate the flight attendant walks to the back of the plane and starts talking to me and trying to calm me down. I was about 14 or 15 at the time. I had no reason to be scared or upset and I never really figured why it hit me all of a sudden. The flight attendant went to the front of the plane and then came back down to me and asked if I wanted to sit in the very front. To which I did and magically I started to calm down and relax. I got to enjoy the 2 hour flight with extra legroom, a window seat and got to talk to the F/A. I still remember his name too! Yoshi. Thank you to him for helping me calm down and comfort me.

In August of 2022 I was heading out of Los Angeles to head down to Disney world in Florida for a family vacation. My Mom, Dad, Sister & Grandma were sitting a few rows behind me as there wasn’t any near me. I got my window seat and began looking around outside. A few minutes later a Dad and his Son came and sat down next to me. The dad was on the aisle and the kid was in the middle. As soon as that kid started sat down he started talking to me. I’d say he was about 10 or 11. He was just asking so many questions but it honestly felt really nice. The dad was really nice and calm too. He mentioned that his son really enjoys aviation. He apologized in advance if his son was talking too much or asking too many questions. But no… that was me indeed. For the next 4 hours n 30 minutes this kid and I were nonstop talking about aviation and I was showing him Infinite Flight, videos I’ve recorded, photos, etc. I remember one point during the flight the dad had tried asking me a question and his son was like “Dad shhh I’m talking to him right now, not you.” It was a good laugh I will say that. When we finally arrived in Orlando we departed ways but before I could go off with my family the dad walked over to me and thanked me for talking to his son. He mentioned that his son has Autism and it’s hard for him to make friends. He as well mentioned that his wife had passed away after getting in an accident with a drunk driver. It was really hard on the dad and the kid. His son was alway loved Disney so for Christmas the wife and husband worked really hard and got a 1 week trip to Disney World and surprised the son on Christmas morning. But unfortunately the mom passed away in February after being hit by that drunk driver. It started to make me sad but before we departed ways his son ran up to me and gave me a hug and said “Thanks for sharing the cool videos and photos. I loved it!”. I shook the dads hand and him and his son continued on their journey to Disney World. I told my family about the interaction and they said they were really proud of me and said I did a really good thing. And that’s how I had the best Disney World trip of all time.
It was a pleasure meeting you Gabe and showing you all my photos and videos! And thank you to Garett for being a cool and supportive dad.
Man I’m gonna start crying soon.
