My flightplans usually have like 17 pages and i like printing them since it adds realism, but i dont want to keep printing all of them. Which ones do i use?
I’d print the pages that have the data regarding fuel and the flightplan waypoints (not the map), which I think are the three first pages. A more cost-effective solution would be to write down the most important stuff on a notebook, saves space and paper.
yes i printed pages 1,4,5 and the first is the OFP, and 4 and five have the waypoints and TOD
I think you’re ok with that, should have enough info for successful flight.
One more question, once i load all the waypoints into IF, will my autopilot turn to them automatically?
Yes, autopilot will follow the points. If you wish to save yourself the TOD part, in the flightplan menu tap on your destination airport, go to Procedures, select a STAR depending on what Simbrief gives you, choose it, and that should configure the AP’s VNAV. Activate it some miles before you are supposed to descend (the AP page will show that).
Adding onto what @Sturmovik said, if your star and approaches have an Altitude set with it, AP will automatically descend for you **if you have VNAV turned on but it only does the descend part. To make sure it automatically follows the way points make sure LNAV is on.
I usually turn LNAV on at around 4000 feet or as soon as possible if I would be in a rush, but VNAV is once I finish my intial climb or after I wake up for a red eye
I tap on the airport and all it shows is the plus. AP descending for me would be nice…
?the autopilot didnt follow my waypoints…?
sorry im blowing up ur notifications, but so i finally got the sutopilot stuff figured out, except the turns are rather violent…
Sorry for the late answer. The A/P turns are violent on every aircraft, it’s something that’s being worked on. It should follow your waypoints, sometimes it’ll make a wide turn before aligning again with your flightplan.
Thank you! I did a few short flights with this and its so much more organized!
Glad it worked!
