What is your earliest memory of aviation?

Hi y’all!

I’m curious to know about your earliest memory of aviation. Drop yours down below!

I’ll start:

When I was about 4 or 5 I had a layover in DFW on my way home to Austin. Prez. Obama was going to Austin that evening and AF1 made a stop in DFW I was riding the sky train and remember seeing all movements stop and all of the emergency vehicles on hand. Later after we landed in Austin I saw AF1 touch down as we were taxiing to our gate. It was pretty cool to see AF1 twice in one day!

All I remember is taxiing at Heathrow on an American Airlines plane when I was 3 yrs old, and opening an AA amenities kit, whilst also looking outside the window

So south of me there is Homestead Air Force Base. Apparently some one breached KPBI, where Obama or Bush(I don’t remember) was scheduled to land. They scrambled 3 fighter jets to escort him in case that person were to get into a plane and do who knows what. Turned out that guy was a spotter trying to get a better angle 😂. So that, my friends, is my earliest memory of aviation

My first was actually as an embryo, my parents flew once while my mom was pregnant.

The first I remember flying was incredible. But at that time I never thought anything of making career out of it. 7 years ago Missoula international airport was so much different than it is today. Only serviced by four airlines, only one or two flights a day from each, and almost always in a CRJ. The building hasn’t changed hardly any (which I am extremely grateful for) until last year when they started a long needed expansion😭. I know the airport in and out (@PlaneCrazy likely does with BZN), and I was extremely devastated to see it change.
Anyways, enough about the airport. My first flight was from Missoula (MSO)-Denver (DEN) with a United express CRJ-200. First heavy was San Francisco (SFO)-Auckland (AKL) with the Air New Zealand. And I didn’t know I wanted to make flying my life until just 2 years ago, but aviation was still so much more to me than what most people think of when they hear aviation.
