Lol I know this is kinda… well very random but what is this (it’s in the 777s)
That hole at the back?
That is the apu exaust.
Ok, I thought it was some type of exhaust I just wasn’t sure and was very curious:)
Yes, is the apu exhaust
Don’t worry. Curiosity is a good thing. It is good to be curious.
Defo, no such thing as a stupid question.
It’s where the 777 gives birth from.
That is just referred to as “its hole”.

What sort of engine does an Auxiliary Power Unit have?
It really makes a lot of noise!
I much rather hear a jet engine. ;)
Does it run on jet fuel?
It uses the same fuel as the normal engines. The fuel is taken from the normal fuel tanks.
It is only on at the gate until the engines are started after pushback, and again once you land until the ground power is connected at the gate (unless under ETOPS).
It is a small jet engine, some information here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxiliary_power_unit#Transport_aircraft
Zaid, this is a forum with kids. Mind your words
