Hey IFC, long time no see!
So I was wondering what the craziest approach that you’ve ever been on in real life. For me it’s Saint Marteen, you fly so close the beach!

Unfortunately all the places I’ve been to so far have been very boring and have plain approaches. My favorite one though would be the descent into KLAX, especially at night. It’s beautiful! All the lights look bizarre in the rain.
Expressway Visual, Chicago Midway is insane also because the pilots just slam on the brakes.
I was on a jetBlue flight from MCO-JFK. I don’t remember exactly what runway we landed on, or what approach we did, but we made a sharp left turn over the city of Manhattan, which was honestly beautiful since it was at night. Too bad we had a hard landing to go with it.
The most interesting was probables last fall when we landed in Houston before the hurricane hit. That was pretty interesting.
I’m wondering if anyone on here ever flew into Kai Tak.
I remember on one of my frequent Southwest flights, we had a pretty hard landing into KPHX, and after we landed the co-pilot said “Ladies and Gentleman this was our pilots first successful landing” and we all started clapping…
Queenstown you fly so close to mountains
Agreed probably the best approach in the world
There was one time we were descending into New Orleans in bad weather, and the pilot made a go around. My mom was freaking out lol.
😂 Was gonna day the same thing. All the airports I’ve flown into…no scenery. Flat.
KEGE is my favorite approach and departure the arrival I can see all the ski resorts and on departure you takeoff and the make a hard bank to the left to avoid a mountain a very fun airport!
We were arriving into JFK on a AA 777-200ER from LHR and we were turning right to line up with the runway and then out of nowhere just landed a bit roughly.
Qamdo Bangda, heighest runway elevation, so the air is very thin, you need to go at a reallly high speed especially if you’re in a heavy aircraft
(My video) Skip to about 11 mins. We were landing just a few days after a Typhoon Hato, it was very turbulent and I felt like we came in really high. I honestly got ambit scared but I was low key hoping that we would go around.
For me it’s St.Barths. The approach coming down the hill had my heart racing lol.
Are you sure it was over Manhattan? I don’t believe there’s any final approach which leads you over Manhattan on final.
SXM and SBH are my favorite approaches! Every year it’s still the same #Fun
Dubai or Colorado! Beautiful sceneries and amazing food! Ahaha
