I’ve been on many delayed flights, so my question to you guys is what is the longest you’ve ever been delayed to go on or on a flight? The longest I’ve been delayed were 5 hours, waiting to go from MCO to LAX. What’s yours?

Once I was in a flight from Panama to Orlando that was delayed by 6 hours in the airport…due to the fall of Copa’s reservation system.

I waited in line for 8 hours at KSAN during the recent Delta power outtage, then we were re-booked for the next morning. Prior to that I was delayed at Nashville trying to get to Orlando w/ Southwest. They sent a limo to take me to Tri-cities Knoxville, put me up in a hotel and flew me out the next morning.

8 hours plus on 7/21/2016 when SWA had the big computer meltdown… They flew me as far as KONT-KPHX but canceled my final leg home to KBNA.
I wound up spending about $500 on a rental car at 3:00 am after waiting 2.5 more hours for my luggage, and drove the 18 hours from Phoenix to Nashville.
Still waiting for my $330+ refund.
I forgive them and remain a loyal customer.

I did use it a lot on the Delta flight with their in flight Gogo wifi. Didn’t have it for Southwest, that was back in 2006.

While I was 5ish, I was on what should have been a 45 minute flight, from KSYR to KJFK. However, there were heavy thunderstorms above JFK. We were in a holding pattern for 3 hours when the guys up front decided to land at Stewart because of fuel concerns. The weather wasn’t going to let up for a while, so they decided to bus us to JFK.

They didn’t hurt or kill anybody. Customers were so angry about the time and money they lost but the airline’s primary focus that day was safety and thus wouldn’t let any flights leave without fresh crews. No corners got cut, nobody was hurt. Thumbs up from me.

30 minutes because of a pressurization leak.
I was delayed about 45 mins on the ground behind about 25 aircraft at RWY 35L at DFW, but it was cool because I got to see a lot of cool aircraft takeoff and land

Norwegian, the airline notorious for delays, on a flight OSL-JFK.
I was delay 8 hours on silver airways from MCO TO PNS.
I always fly standby, so i’ve been delayed 12 hours.
Longest ive been delayed personally was 3 hours (on the airplane leaving KATL but winds and storms closed it) Good times
4 hours due to fog at the arriving airport
