Please tell me what the longest runway in IF is, if you know.
It would be useful for my airshows.
Thanks
KADW has some very long runways if you want to. Those runways were used for aircraft testing and Shuttle Landings. I recall @JNG_Aviation doing some pretty fun drag races there. Have fun and as always,
Smooth Skies.
Qamdo Bamda Airport in China has the worldโs longest runway at 3.4 miles in length, in theory, it should be in Infinite Flight, but it might not be designed, I have not been there yet.
KTTS is 15,069ft long. NASA Shuttle Landing Facility
I would suggest KEDW (Edwards Dry Lake Air Force Base)
KEDW, Runway 17, nearly 40,000ft long. Great for accelerating a loaded A380 to 170 knots then aborting takeoff
The longest partially paved runway is at kedw at 7.5 miles but the longest paved runway is the one in qamdo China at 3.4 miles
Thank you so much, I just did an a340-f 22 airshow there!
KEDW is the longest runway, in fact, a 737 or a320 aircraft can take off simultaneously on the same runway๐๐
Could probably do that 2 or 3 times going in the same direction doing that ๐๐
Longest commercial runway is ZUBD at a length of 18,045ft.
Iโve flown there in Infinite Flight and the taxiway alongside the runway is just big enough to allow all the wheels of an a380 to taxi down it.
KEDW has many runway that are long (as stated above). The longest is runway 17 - 35, at 39,072ft it is ridiculously long, it is an air force base and so it is not a commercially open runway.
However some companies have been able to test stuff out there. The first real supersonic car used KEDW for its test
