What’s the difference between B772ER and B772LR?
-200LR has more range (and more powerful -300ER engines and fancy raked wingtips)
ER stands for extended range, LR stands for long range. The main difference is the range between the two aircraft. With the -200LR having more range. :)
The -200LR also has raked wingtips and more powerful -300ER engines
You’ll also find the difference in the wings. The LR adopts the raked wingtip technology from the -300ER variants most commonly seen on. This improves efficiency and range while reducing drag.
Basically Boing decided to add an extra fuel tank in the center with better, fuel efficient engines. They also modified the wing tips. And that’s practically it.
I love the wingtips
