Personally, I have spotted planes such as the Antonov An-124 and C-17 departing from an airbase that does not regularly serve these planes. Moreover, I have flown on an Airbus A380 by Singapore Airlines from SIN-HKG in 2015.
When I was in driving to National Harbor I saw the Air force one Boeing 747
My first flight in a Widebody was in a Azulâs A332 back in 2019, the route was FOR-VCP (SBFZ-SBKP), his registration was PR-AIS and today he serves the FAB (Força AĂ©rea Brasileira or Brazillian Air Force) and his actual registration is FAB2902.
Wouldnât say itâs a rare aircraft, but certainly special. Last year, I flew LHR-JFK on board British Airwaysâ B772 registered G-VIIA. Itâs currently BAâs oldest aircraft in the active fleet. The aircraft is 27 years old, compared to the average fleet age of 14.1 years.
Not rare at all but due to the circumstances, Norwegian 738
Considering the average age in this forum, Iâd wager that a MD-80 from SAS (Scandinavian) is pretty rare, and well, impossible these days đ
Fokker 100
(Whoops, seems like I misread something. I seen the Fokker 100 IRL but havenât flown on it)
EuroAtlantic 767-300 on a Thomas Cook repatriation flight.
Flew on the Concorde when I was about 7; I remember it fairly well.

The rarest plane iâve flown on was the Aer Lingus airbus a321-200, nowdays, aer lingus does no longer operate the a321-200.

2nd place would be the Ryanair 737 max 8, im serious! I fly ryanair 8 times a year on avarage and i havent flown the max 8 since the last THREE years!
I havent flown on any widebodies but im hoping to fly one soon, perhaps next year. Could be an airbus a330-300!
When I was little I flew on a Embraer 120 from Carlsbad to LAX. Also I flew on a NetJets Citation X from White Plains to Dulles
Air France A380 and A318 from Shanghai to Paris then Copenhagen. Wonderful experience, good old time back before the pandemic.
Been on the southwest triple crown one
727, DC-10, L1011, 747 âluxury linerâ complete with spacious economy class lounge with a piano bar. And a Cessna 411 (somewhat rare, and one lucky passenger gets to occupy the dual function toilet seat).
DC-6
It was a MAC (Military Airlift Command) flight out of NAS Jacksonville, FL To NAS Norfolk, VA in 1978 or 1979. I believe it was out of NAS Atlanta. The seats faced the rear. I had the presence of mind to wear earplugs but I didnât put them in until we climbed out. Those radials sounded awesome!
KLM MD-11
Northwest DC-10
Northwest SAAB 340
Denver Air Connection Dornier 328 Jet
Northwest/KLM 747s
Iberia CRJ-1000
AerolĂneas Argentinas A330-200
Vieques Air Link Britten-Norman Trislander
I flew twice inside an Antonov AN-2 âColtâ in a small air show. I can still hear the brakes when we landed. This was in November 2017.
I recorded both flights:
Here it is taking off and landing:
iâve been on a American 777 from CLT to LAS, which they donât do that anymore
NASAs DC-8, I have seen it twice over LA
uau, debe haber sido increible
