My new favorite is when I say “no pattern work accepted at this time” then they ask for departure to the south, frequency change, enter left downwind, stay at the same altitude and call inbound for the option.

Ugh, I remember controlling and the Grade 3 would announce a go around every time he did a touch and go because he thought it was an appropriate call out for pattern work. No matter how many times I asked him to “check help pages,” he’d just say “thank you, good day” and proceed with the awful call outs.

Similarly when I say “do not taxi through the grass” they reply with “you’re welcome”. It happens every time 😂
