It’s been pretty quiet in here for some time (I’m sure it’s because everybody of you is working on IF so hard ;) ) so I wanted to ask what everybody’s currently doing?Which airport are you dating and how are you making progress?

Working on KLAX (don’t tell anyone else), but progress is slow. Hopefully I can get it done by the time the update comes out.

I’m working on an Infinite Flight Airports API to allow people to pull airport data into their apps.

Currently loading in the data as I type after pouring over several different sources and deciding what info I need.

One thing I’m missing though is Airport Class. If anyone has an ICAO vs Airport Class list please do send onto me :smiley:

Btw about the list, maybe @Tyler_Shelton or @carmalonso has one? If not @matt himself could have one probably. If not you’ll probably need to go through the whole list :/

This is something calculated on-the-fly based on a number of factors (controlled airfield, rwy lengths, etc.). Matt’s the one who has these accurate parameters :)

Yeah, could do a load of things including as you say an airport map.

Could also pull together stats such as number of users at an airport per region.

Weather per airport and report on that.

Bunch of stuff really!

Hi folks, I’d like to get started working on some things very soon, including:

-Airport editing
-App to debrief your IF flight on cloud ahoy (this could use its own thread)
-Infinite flight tracking on Avare

Nick_Art mentioned that this is a small group of developers, so I thought I’d introduce myself. I am a former character technical director for animated movies turned software developer. Currently I am moving overseas, so time is limited at the moment, but if everything works out with finding a job there, IF will be my part-time project; if not, it will be my full-time project ;)

Welcome, Eric! Glad to have you on the team. A lot of us developers here (unless they are developing Infinite Flight) are designing airports for Infinite Flight. We have a Facebook Messenger group chat where everyone can ask questions and get support, advise, etc.

Here you can find the primary programs we use for editing.
