My mom was a flight attendant for American Airlines, so I have basically grown up on planes. Similar to @BP-Aviation I would always fly as a child to visit grandparents. I got my aviation dream when I was probably 5 or 6 years old, sitting at the window seat watching the airplane takeoff and land. Afterwards, I thought to myself this is what I want to do.
And here we are, 15-16 years later, I’m almost a commercial pilot learning how to fly the CRJ700. Wow time flies quick!
well before aviation was like ‘oh that’s neat’ but then i got first hand what it’s like ti actually go somewhere via plane, the forces, the atmosphere of it, and just being on one part of the world and thne being somewhere else was quite something for 3rd grade me
My grandparents lived in Sydney, and the excitement when the pilot said “we are now beginning our descent into Sydney” made me so, so exited. one of the most memorable flights to date.
i didnt think much about the weight, but the speed was definitely something. Since I’m used to seeing 60 ish MPH on a highway, but N584AS kept going and going and going
I flew up to Baltimore the other day on spirit. And on takeoff as soon as power was added to the engines I had a smile on my face. Loved every second of the flight and we had a smooth landing. I stared out the window the entire time too.
Although I’m slacking and need to finish my ground work
As a youngster, my uncle took me planespotting at SJU airport around what, 2013? And as we kept on going planespotting a couple more times, I started to gain too much interest with it. And I’m really grateful with my uncle, for getting me inspiration to the aviation world.
