I’ve seen some pictures where users were inactive and their FPL ended, resulting in the aircraft automatically circling around(-ish) the last waypoint. Does this always happen when your FPL runs out? I’ve yet to experience it and I could see it come in handy for some long hauls I’ve planned.
No it activates autopilot after the last waypoint and you wil just fly till your fuel is empty.
In a straight line or would you be circling till your fuel runs out?
Straight line nothing bad happens. (Only when fuel is empty ;) )
How come that on some occasions the aircraft starts circling instead then?
Name a occasion? That never happens
Thats just his flightplan azeeuwnl was just making a Joke :)
Believe me you wil just go in straight line.
If a flight plan has a sharp, inexecutable corner at the end then the aircraft will circle that waypoint as it keeps trying to carry out the instruction but cannot. This could be what you mean :)
Okay but but on your question it just gos in a straight line after the last waypoint.
Mods can close this now, thanks guys.
