Depending on weight, I’ll either use the 1st to 4th flap setting (for airbus i’ll use flaps 1 or whatever that 1 and a half one is)
It might get you in trouble one day on a short Rwy! 😉
I do use extra flaps on shorter runways after a “small” incident back in the early global days
Depending on which aircraft you are flying with ;)
Airbus A320 Family (Flaps 1 or 2)
Airbus A330, A340, A350, A380 (Flaps 1+F or 2)
Boeing Aircraft (Flaps 5 -15)
Take Note: It depends on the weight of the aircraft, runway length, wind / weather condition
You shouldn’t use Flaps FULL for takeoff ever - maybe flaps 3 if we heavy or on a short/high altitude runway but normally only flaps 1/1+F or 2 should be used on an Airbus.
On a Boeing I typically use Flaps 5/15. I will use Flap 20 on the 747-400 if I am heavy (this is done IRL pretty often on the 747)
For airbus I use Flaps 1/1+F and for boeing it depends, on the 737/757 I use 5º and for long haul 777/787 I use 15º
