No, you’re not. Nothin like jet fuel in the mornin. And I’m kinda serious on that 😳

Anyway, as for aviation, I’ve loved it my whole flight and whenever I do a flight lesson, lifting off is a magical feeling that is hard describe…. Planes is just my favorite thing…. It makes me happy, keeps me busy, and more… but the feeling I get when I see any plane is also indescribable…. In a good way.

Conclusion: Avgeeks are a diff species

The history of aviation
The complexity that these aircraft have
The power of aircraft
The sound of 747s engines
And yes the smell as well for me 🤣
The feeling of being in jumbo jets
And so much more

I just can’t list how much I love aviation 🥲

Anything basically. From the fast paced work environment to riding on a plane and having disconnected from the outside world, looking at the clouds and scenery below.

For me, each flight is its own personal journey. The adventure of flying is beyond anything in this world. I have a huge passion for aviation. The earliest memory of my passion started when I was 5 years old, flying on MSFS. To this day my passion and knowledge only grows.

There’s nothing like the sound of a turbine engine powering up, and just gaining that altitude. I find aircraft to be very beautifully designed. The way aircraft functionally operate is fascinating to me. The fact that an airplane can takeoff, stay in the air for hours, and land is truly amazing to me. There’s peace just being up in the air, with the clouds. I truly love flying, and air traffic control (simulator-wise). Since I cannot be a pilot due to medical reasons, I am currently a ramp agent. On my way to achieving the next best dream: Being an aircraft mechanic! Plus, the aviation community is FULL of good people. Gotta love aviation.

The fact that i could probably fly an actual 320 with no type rating in real life versus doing real world problems

The most exciting part for me about it is when i get to see as many aircrafts as my eyes could see. I would be in heaven just by see them landing and taking off.

Older generation aircraft that sound like planes and smell like planes and are flown by pilots who fly planes. Not the flying computers of today

Better yet when someone tells me they are going on a flight and I ask them what there flight number is. Next thing you know I am pulling up every single detail about that flight such as the flight plan, aircraft type, things about the airline, what the planned altitude is, even what kind of turns to expect in that flight and what kind of landing to expect. Basically the ability to make a great impression. This one time i got to impress 2 United 767-300ER pilots on a flight bettween Houston and Newark. The pilots asked me what airline I flew for lol. I told them I am not an airline pilot yet but hopefully if I can cover the cost of getting a Commercial Aviation license and pass a first class medical with an AME then I will definitely be a pilot then lol.

Being paid to travel the world, and having stopovers. All paid by the company 👍😀🇬🇧

You can travel 7 miles high near the speed of sound to the next city or the other side of the earth, and touch down in a zone not much bigger than your aircraft. That a million people are always in the sky doing this. That humans created this wonder in lots of micro steps, starting from nothing, in a relatively short time compared to all of human history. And that it is more reliable than most things in life.

And then just watching a bird, you find it hard to put into words.
