When a controller tells me “Resume own navigation” does that mean I can decent or climb without requesting to climb or decent. Can some explain to me what kind of freedom I have when he says “Resume own Navigation.”
It means, fly to your destination under your own control :)
Or in better terms, fly on your own and change altitude, speed, heading at your own risk while having a watchful eye for other airplanes that might be come a hazard.
You should have your flight plan filed, so you would follow it without any further vectors from ATC after this message
yes but if you haven’t got a flight plan filed and you are flying VFR make sure you still communicate with ATC especially around active runways.
