What engine type do you prefer on the A320 family in IF?

In Infinite Flight do you prefer the CFM56, or IAEv2500?

The IAE is a little to sleek for me.

I agree, the CFM has that very nice rear section that is exposed, on the IAE it is hidden.

Agreed, but I still like a little mixup from switching 737, to A320.

Personally the CFM are nicer engines and more impressive in IF and within IF.

On another note, try increasing your texture quality, via settings, to get an all round more impressive IF experience.

Doesn’t the 737 use the CFM?

Yep, it does.

It is on minimum on purpose hahaha, I’m afraid my IF will crash.

Yes there are about 45,000 CFM56 engines in use around the world. Every 2.5 seconds, an aircraft around the world takeoffs/lands with the CFM56.

The v2500 also powers the MD-90 and KC-390.

The MD-90? Really? I would have never guessed! 🤣 Since it’s such an old aircraft.

@TigerPilot Which one do you prefer?

When it comes to the sound (in real life of course) I like the IAE more (it has a loud roar), but when it comes to the looks, i like the CFM more!

I depends if we’er takin reverse power on a short runway then CFM but if I want a long takeoff roll then IAE but for looks I like the CFM or the NEO (but that is my real world preference)

I perfer both, but I rather the IAE because it makes more of a loud takeoff like what @TigerPilot said and it fits the A320 better than the CFM.Just my opinion

I personally like the V2500 best. It kind of looks retro-ish, same with the RB211 on 747/57/67s, the straight pipe seems to look a bit like the old engines 707s and DC8s used to have:)
