Hello IFC! I am finding my iPad to overheat when at 3D airports, so I am planning on turning down the 3D object density. I don’t know though what it means. Can someone tell me? Also what is recommended for an iPad Pro 2017 model with that setting? Thanks!
Edit: does anyone now know what anti aliasing and rendering quality mean? Thanks!
So the 3-D object density is how many objects will show up on your screen for example if you go to one airport that has like 30 fuel trucks and it’s set on high you’ll see 30 if it’s set on medium you’ll see like 20 and if it’s set on low you’ll see like 10
If your device is overheating start by going down to medium don’t go down to low in less it’s a last resort
A dictionary definition of aliasing is: an error or distortion created in a digital image that usually appears as a jagged outline (caused by trying to represent cuves and diagonals on a pixel grid).
So anti aliasing is extra processing overhead to smooth out the natural jagged edges of object boundaries. So you can choose the trade off between faster processing (dropping the smoothing steps) or smoother edges.
Rendering is other elements of image synthesis. Same idea as anti-aliasing, so other elements of producing the image also allow you to select a trade off between speed or quality.
I have a 12.9 2021 iPad 1TB, no issues here so far but my longest flight has bee 4 hours. I got all those super long flights itching done and over with a few years ago on an old LG android long since dead way back when I was Grade 5. No longer need to fly ultra long flights. Did that, bought the T Shirt in Iraq
