What does orange name tag mean?

In old threads I read something about “standing” ?! “Low” standing and so on. :thinking: But today at Zhengzhou ZHCC I saw several other planes’ name tag suddenly change to orange :tangerine: and then they started drifting sideways somewhere until they disappeared. A moment later they reappeared where they were before…- or were gone.

Sometimes I see some turn orange and they start lifting up into the air, like a harrier and then also disappear. What does that really mean?

Orange is indicative of a connection issue. If its happening to several planes around you, then the problem is likely on your rend.

Chances are they either crashed or just lost internet connection. Nothing else really comes to mind.

Perhaps they received a violation since ZHCC was a big hub today?

Wow :star_struck: Do you ever sleep? Whenever I write something and I posted, only a few seconds later, I already see you writing. No matter what time it is. Very impressive :star_struck::+1::+1::+1:

Thanks for your answer. Ok, then I understand. Actually I have opical fibre service, but my router is quite old. Although I have like 100Mbps, but maybe the handshake or connectivity has some flaws once in a while. I mean ZHCC was really busy today with lots of other planes around.

I will check my router though.

Violation I don’t think so. They were standing in line with me for takeoff and got no warnings, nor they haven’t even been moving. Some were standing at the gate, suddenly turn orange in their tag and started sliding sideways.

How about green ones?

@hairful

Green is Grade 4 pilot.

Golden/ bronze is Grade 5 pilot.
