What do you expect from Infinite Flight in 2020?

That is my main thing for 2020

Well, I don’t have any expectations, as whatever does come, I’m sure we’ll be very delighted with it. But, here is what I would like to see…

  • Integrated Weather (Not just fog/clouds - rain, thunder/lightning storms, wake turbulence, etc.)
  • Aircraft Reworks
  • Scenery Reworks (taxiway lighting, night lighting, more detailed scenery)
  • More ATC commands
  • A larger, more supportive, community

So yeah, that’s what I’d like to see. It’s great to see what you guys have in mind. Definitely a few unique ones out there…

Happy Flying (especially that A350/C172)!

Was anyone actually expecting this to arrive? The easter egg surprised me for sure lol. Looks like Laura listened @Marc.

It even came in 2019!

It’ll be nice if the A220 is released in 2020! Also, it’ll be nice to have a C-17A rework with liveries of non-USAF users added.

All I want is tire smoke. Nothing else.

For me:

  • Clouds, rains, snow and storm.
  • More A320 family liveries (Volotea, Air Serbia, Nouvelair, Ural Air, FlyBosnia…).
  • More 737 family liveries (Air Algerie…).
  • Aircraft reworks (757, 767, A380, C-17…).
  • Lights.

Delta doesn’t have the 789, so I’m pretty sure they won’t add it…

Also, this is probably harder than it seems because all aircraft now have higher standards like gear tilt, and fully-functioning cockpits.

Things I 100% expect: Clouds, Boeing 777 rework and boeing 757 rework with more liveries added.

Things I kind of expect: Taxiway lights, weather’s like rain and snow and thunderstorms

Things I don’t really expect but may still happen: Boeing 737, 747 and a330 cockpit rework with more liveries.

Honestly though I don’t expect all of these things but I do really want to see clouds and a 757 rework. But for 2020 I think FDS should focus more on the area itself and not just the aircraft reworks. For me having clouds and other weather’s like rain and thunder make the game more realistic and have a huge impact and a bigger impact than a rework of an aircraft.

More PT6 powered aircraft and clouds.

Well won’t brag too much but how’s that for a prediction of the future back in October haha.

Think I can update some predictions now. The 777 family will likely take a couple more months to finish. Can’t wait to see what the Devs have in store, but I’m really looking forward to the quality that we’ve seen on the A350 (updated flight deck, truck tilt, liveries and detailed exterior)!

I remember that usually the first update of the year tends towards some more user-oriented “behind-the-scenes” work and stuff like that, so I have a couple predictions there. I’m sure that live cockpits will continue to find their way around the fleet (thinking CRJ and MD-11 would be obvious next candidates for this), so those might make their way into 20.1. I’m going to go ahead and say the first iteration of clouds will come in 20.1. We’ll see if that prediction is correct! And similar to before, there is a small chance the 777 makes its way into 20.1

I’m thinking that aircraft-wise, reworks are continuing to get more and more attention from the community, especially now that we have both the “new” 787 and A350 in the sim (A220 and 737 Max/A320 Neo being the exception for shiny new planes not added, but we already have the 737 and A320 series…)

With the C172 now up to par, there are many airliners waiting for a chance to shine. I’m going with either the 757 or 747 as the next passenger rework, and the F/A-18 or C-17 as the next military rework. These would probably be mid-year.

With the amazing C172, X-Cub and TBM, I think GA development has been the focus of the last year, and can likely take a bit of a breather until late 2020 (or 2021). Here’s to a more military/commercial focus for the new year!

Regardless though, we all know the Devs will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile flight sim development. This was a great year, and one they should all be rightly proud of. I can’t wait for what 2020 will bring to the table!

What would be great:

777 rework (live cockpit, new liveries ie : Airfrance, without skyteam)
787 (live cockpit)
Addition of 350-1000
737 family (live cockpit)
747 rework (live cockpit)
A380 (rework live cockpit)
A rework of lighting physics (on planes as well as the ground)
I don’t know if this is feasible but it would be amazing !
