Quick question. What qualifies as an “Operation” as a controller? I am trying to get enough to become IFATC :)
To get operations, you have to give a aircraft a command when controlling
To expand on that a little bit, I believe an operation is clearing an aircraft for takeoff, landing, or for the option. Not necessarily every command.
Here is more information regarding ATC operations:
A clearance counts as an operation, such as a clearance for taxing, pushback, takeoff. You get most of the operations as an approach controller. Nevertheless, I would recommend you to stay at Tower and Ground because you need that for IFATC.
I wish you the best of luck with your goal!
If you weren’t aware of the number, it’s 500, just so you know :)
Patience and dedication and you’ll be there in no time! You may also consider opening an ATC Tracking Thread so people on the community can see when you’re open and come fly for you.
Yeah I knew it was 500. I’m at 350 now so hopefully I’ll be there soon :)
Also just opened a tracking thread. Thanks for the advice :)
No problem! If you need anything else, I’d be glad to help.
