I would hope for a few things.
1.) further expansion of the Systems aspect of Infinite Flight. Two different examples of how this could look are in the form on Feature requests which I have linked below. Personally, I am more partial to the first one over the second. However, either implementation would work well!
Yes, the systems of aircrafts,that could make IF more realistic.
Maybe not complicated like real aircrafts have but simplified in the way that everyone can understand.

This is simply an idea for a new cockpit UI to make way for new features in the future like engine start up etc.
It’s basically just a new alignment of the buttons used during cockpit view. I tried to recreate the locations of these buttons from just being grouped into one side of the screen to their real life locations on the cockpit.

This right here is National Geographic’s Boeing 757-200 that is used to take groups of people on luxury tours of the world. This former Icelandair Boeing 757-200 registered in Iceland as TF-FIS is 26 years old. 3.) I hope to maybe see the A380 in 2023! I know that this is unlikely, but I still like to be optimistic.
4.) I also hope for the C17 rework as well as possibly the C-5 being confirmed!

Yes, there is currently a C-5 topic, but that’s for the boring-sounding C-5M. This is for the old boys, the C-5A (and maybe the C-5B since it’s pretty much the same plane) with their screaming TF39 engines. These could be a nice addition to the IF retro and military fleet, with not only the basic livery, but also the white 1970s livery and the green camo livery of the 1980s and 1990s.
It would be lovely if the c17 would/will be reworked especially with the following features
Animated parts
Fully virtual cockpit/completed cockpit
The following liveries
RAAF
RAF
RCAF
NATO
Qatar emiri
Indian Air Force
United Arab Emirates
Kuwait Air Force
RNZAF
I am not saying this needs to be implemented right away but not sometime in the next 10 years
