Hey does anyone know why we only get a few votes it just weird and if anyone can tell me how many we get and how if possible we can get more
Hello @KSATplane_spotter,
The reason why votes are limited to a set number of votes depending on your account trust level is to ensure that you vote for only the features that you’re most passionate about. If everyone had a large amount of votes to spread around then votes wouldn’t have as much value as they do currently, as community members could vote for numerous features without putting much thought into which features they would like to see the most.
The total number of votes per trust level is as follows:
Trust Level | Total Votes |
---|---|
Trust Level 1 | 5 Votes |
Trust Level 2 | 10 Votes |
Trust Level 3 | 15 Votes |
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Take care!
It’s a pity votes are limited. I see no connection between number of votes and passion. A lot of people play this game because they are passionate about it. Many of whom are not socially active here to a point where they can climb up trust levels fast enough to get more votes.
I’ve been using IFS since 2016. I’m passionate about aviation and flight swimming, but I’m limited to 5 votes because I had to delete my account and start afresh.
When it comes to topics to vote on, I’m genuinely interested in 27 topics spread across liveries, aircraft and features. 27 is a long way off from 5, 10 and 15.
Just another overthought limitation that serves no purpose and has no positive outcome. Letting people vote can’t have a negative impact on it. It’s just a vote and has absolutely no link with passion.
It’s like the whole Airport Editor Application process, people with a genuine passion, interest, experience, knowledge, skill and time are waiting months and years. And there’s people who are already selected and been sitting on projects for months and years. We get it, everyone has personal lives and are only volunteers, but if you cannot devote time to something regularly, it’s a waste. Someone else can do it.
