What does this section do and how can it be used?

Every time I try to use it, the flight plan crashes.

Hello!

Those are the STARs (Standard Terminal Arrival Route) and SIDs (Standard Instrument Departure Route). Basically, it’s a standard routing used by aircrafts who arrive, or depart from that airport. Once ingrained in the flight plan, aircraft will follow the designated waypoint, alongside altitude restrictions attached to each SIDs and STARs.

However, attaching SIDs and STARs shouldn’t cause crashes. Does the app force close everytime you try to add either SIDs or STARs?

What I assume is happening is the sudden lag that happens when you add one.

You know the one where it freezes for about half a second as the game adds and Calculates the distances and altitudes into the flight plan. Maybe its causing a system overload for them.

How should I use it?

First, click the airport that you desire (for SIDs, choose your departure airport, and for STARs, choose your arrival airport) on the map

Afterwards, go to the “Procedure” tab, and choose which SIDs/STARs/Approach procedures that you desire, like in the first photo that you attached.

Click the procedure that you want, and click “Select”. The procedure will then appear on your flight plan. If you chose a SID, then it will appear after your departure airport. If you choose a STAR and/or Approach, the procedure will appear before your destination airport.
