Ever since the devs took away the stricter expert server requirements, there are so many “non expert” pilots on expert server. I constantly see people getting buzzed by fighters or the fighters flying erratically in congested airspace. I was landing at LAX and as soon as tower closed when I was on short final, the guy on downwind turned base and cut me on final, basically landing 100 feet infront of me and nearly flying right through me. Another time a controller was vectoring departures north right through the inbound arrivals on right downwind. Additionally people who spawn locally like at BUR or SNA and fly to LAX when it is very congested, these people most likely do not follow instructions, mess up sequencing, and nearly collide with other aircraft. Why do these people think they are “expert” or that they belong on the expert server? Sure, more landings or flight hours may not make people behave professionally. But I definitely support increasing expert server requirements. Id like to vote for certain feature requests that increase these requirements.
I mean…
We all grinded to get there but some people just grounded.
Did t learn.
Anything.
So I see them get reported by ATC and randomly doing stuff.Unrealistic Unprofessional Unlawful
The three Us
@David3252 I realized that I totally forgot to put the link there for what I was referring to. Here you go: The Expert Server is lacking expertise - let’s fix that
Oh yeah…I’d love to see some higher restrictions. My opinion about this Expert Server is always the same…act like a pro. If you want to just play and have some fun, do it on casual or just by yourself. Expert Server should be for those who want to simulate real scenarios.
Please note that the report feature for pilots is only available to supervisors, moderators, and staff to avoid abuse. If you encounter such (prolonged) misbehavior on the expert server, I would advise letting a moderator know so they can take appropriate action. IFATC members are also allowed to report users but this can only be done while actively controlling.
its a flight sim, its meant to be realistic. If you wanna make your own routes that dont exist, use the generic livery instead of an airline. And if you dont fly like you must, then use the casual server
Oh I didn’t know, thanks. I was wondering all the time why this option is there and unavailable. 😅
Still quite new to IF, but as someone who frequently flies around Japan while seeking realism, the most annoying thing for me is users who park or spawn foreign airlines at (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) and not at the (International Terminal) (Now called Terminal 3) at Haneda Airport (HND/RJTT).
Terminal 1 and 2 are domestic terminals irl, and T1 is mainly used by JAL while T2 is used by ANA.
Yes, I know this is just a game but still… It felt extremely weird seeing a Turkish Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft spawning at Terminal 1 and a Singapore Airlines Boeing 787 parking at Terminal 2.
Others are users who refuse to listen to the ATC and those who use the wrong callsign and airline (I.E. a F22 with a Delta callsign)…
@ShinanoSky_YT Welcome to the community!
Very cool DC-3 landing in Nagasaki, and…San Bernadino videos etc.!
First of all,
Welcome to the community!
I agree with the gate thing.
When I fly a route, I check fr24 for the departure and arrival gate so I’m realistic
I usually check which terminal for the airline and spawn in at a major number if possible (usually furthest in or out depending on terminal design).
I usually put more emphasis on realistic flight plans and terminal than gate and taxi route.
I usually avoid featured airports because they affect device storage.
I live in an area with bad WiFi connection (I use a trap phone with no cellular connection - I only use it for IF) and connection tends to take a huge beating when I fly into a busy airport.
Some of that is VA policy. We fly all of our codeshares as our callsign, regardless of livery. So I might fly and AA route in a 777, but I am still using my UPS callsign.
People requesting frequency change over and over 🤦🏾
I do the exact same thing lol.
Yep, people who dont realize that their taxi to runway clearance gives them permission to change frequency when ready. Or…people who request frequency change before they are even off the runway.
Whats even worse is when someone flies the ANA A380 to HND instead of NRT!
I find it annoying when people request departure reaming in the pattern but have a full flight plan
Haha yes, that too! 😂
I just got someone who blocked my runway when I was landing on TS. I had to go around. But it was my first successful go around tho so it was an experience LOL
