How do you find the distance of your route?
Finished my route :). I decided to go with FL130 as my cruising Altitude.
Go to the map tab and click the third page called FPL. Look for “CUM DIST” and it’ll show your total route distance based on your FPL. You can also add the “DIST TO DEST” option on your bottom status bar which will also show your total route distance.
Longer flight, maybe 20,000ft
So, what does FL stand for?
I flew this last night as well on Expert Server, using B737 ( SOUTHWESTERN 238) never flown into MMTJ before, nice flight. I did a more direct routing, but used SID out of lAX and STAR for MMTJ with a total distance of about 150nm so used FL220.
A tip for new pilots, if you set up one of your bottom tabs to show "distance to destination " this is a big help for calculating your Top of Descent etc.
