What airlines are currently serving, or have served your local Airport?

#1

Hello everyone and a Happy Wednesday! What airlines currently serve your local Airport? Manchester-Boston Regional Airport currently has four (4) Airlines serving the airport. We used to have as many as eight (8) airlines before the 2008 recession and the major mergers. Here is the list of airlines that served, or once served my local airport. In total, twelve (12) airlines have served this airport when it opened (includes airlines that ceased or merged).

Current Airlines serving KMHT:
American Airlines (2015-)
Delta Airlines (1995-)
Southwest (1998-)
United Airlines (1984-)

Airlines that once served KMHT:
Northeast Airlines (1951-1972)
Northwest Airlines (1998-2010)
US Airways (1986-2015)
Metrojet (1998-2001)
Air Canada (2000-2010)
Independence Air (2004-2005)
Pan American Airways (2003-2005)
Continental AIrlines (1998-2012)

Current Cargo airlines:
Federal Express [FedEx]
United Paracel Service [UPS]

Former Cargo Airlines:
DHL Airlines

Fun Fact: The largest commercial aircraft to land on a regular commercial service was from United Airlines. United flew in their Boeing 757-222 from Chicago, IL, Making United the only carrier to utilize their 757 on their ORD-MHT route. They stopped flying in the 757 after the recession hit in 2008. US Airways also occasionally flew in a 757 into MHT from PHL.

Share me which airlines are currently or have served your local airport :)

What airline dominates your local airport?

Currently serving EGLC are:

  • Alitalia
  • Aurigny
  • Blue Islands
  • British Airways
  • CityJet
  • Flybe
  • Lufthansa Cityline
  • SkyWork Airlines
  • Luxair
  • Swiss International Airlines
  • British Airways operated by SUN-AIR
  • British Airways operated by Eastern Airways.

Fun fact: The 5.5 degree approach to London City Airport is steeper than most (3 degrees) because of the built up areas around the airport. Operations have to pause when tall ships sail down the Thames and past the end of the runway.

Right now I live by ATL, I have no idea how many airlines operate from there.

My local airport (AAR/EKAH) back home is really bad, only served by SAS and Ryanair. So I´ll go with AAL Airport instead, only about 15 min more away than AAR.

You live by Atlanta but your local airport is Danish?

#12

I´m only in Atlanta for the year, my real home is Danish.

#13

My local airport is KAPA or Centennial Airport located on Colorado. Denver Air Connection operated by Key Lime Air flies to Grand Junction, CO. This is the only daily operational airline that flies out of KAPA. However, KAPA has been designated as a reliever airport for KDEN for unusual situations that may cause DEN to shut down at a moments notice.
