So this is not a hater comment but I was flying from phog to Honolulu and it took me two hours to land because the appr controller sent me over to 130nm from hlu and there was no hold request.
This is on TS1… (Can’t do much)
Was there a lot of traffic or was the controller just being a troll?
Forgot to mention it was expert server.
So usually when IFATC is open in a small region, all of the traffic goes to that region.
For a controller, having 100 planes to help land safely is stressful and a hard job.
The controller may have been creating a traffic pattern or MAYBE he forgot you. If that happens again and it looks out of place; ask the controller for instructions/vectors as it can be easy to forget about a plane when you are getting new messages every second
IFATC Jack
Your best bet is to PM the controller. Thanks!
There was only 5 planes he had to handle and I requested vectors and he didn’t respond
Forgot who he was…
Are you sure this was on the expert server because this sounds like a TS1 thing.
There was a good chance there was more than 5 planes.
During the first few minutes of the Hawaii sever region
Do you know who the controller was?
It may have been that you weren’t there on his screen or that you were unknown. (It happens due to your internet connection and stuff).
Its really not a big deal
When was this? We haven’t controlled in Hawaii for a while.
I’m sorry but a few weeks ago
Issues with the service you received can be taken to an ATC mod such as Joe or Tyler. For next time ensure you have the details of the controller and do it immediately not after. This topic is pointless as a lot of time has elapsed and you don’t have a lot of details.
I’m so sorry for wasting your time.
You haven’t as you now have answers about how to deal with such issues. Now you know. See you around.
Have aaaaaaaa gooooooooood one
Ok everyone, we are starting to go in circles.
If you have a problem or question about an ifatc controller please contact the controller or moderator as soon as possible. A few weeks ago makes it impossible to even begin to research what happened.
When open, Hawaii is a busy region and you should wait in line with the rest of the planes. Again, we don’t know what happened that day.
With that being said, there’s no way to respond without purely speculating.
Next time please raise the concern sooner so we can see if there really is an issue.
