Western Air, which is the second largest airline from the Bahamas has announced their plans to begin services to the United States. On May 19, the airline will start service to Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL). They will use their fleet of Embraer 145 Jets, all in economy, with 50 seats.

“Western Air believes the shorter flight time on the EMB145 Jet will be a welcome bonus to new passengers.”

The airline claims that their jets are faster than other jets, cutting flight time to 25 minutes on the route.

The airline will have 2 daily flights. The first at 1 pm and the 2nd at 6 pm.

Do you think Western Air has a chance against the large airlines like JetBlue and Southwest?
