Any tips so i won’t stall nex time i use ap+? it’s been several times now ![]()
Its the MAX8, lol my advice dont fly it
This has never happened to me when I use AP+ lol. Then again I try not to use it because of the fuel consumption issue
I wouldn’t take that advice, the MAX is currently the most well modeled and accurate plane in the sim.
My guess is this issue has specifically to do with some extreme changes in winds or in an error of speed caused by AP+. I would try to gather some data as to why this happened, perhaps a few more instances of this happening for more info. I’ve never had this happen in the past 6 months of using AP+, so this is definitely strange.
So, the only reason I know you could end up in this situation is if you stay on this screen for too long. I realize that if you have AP+ on, leave, and then stay on this screen for too long when you come back, you will actually begin to lose airspeed. It’s like you’re back, but the engines aren’t on until you press “START”… I don’t know if it’s a glitch or what, but that’s what happens.
I’ve learned to automatically press “START” as soon as I get back. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re doing, or if you’re aware of this, but it’s the only cause I can think of. What you talked about has never happened to me and I use AP+ all the time.
Also forgot to mention it could be because of the winds.
I’m guessing it’s a bug? it happened to me several times before too except I wasn’t stalling, I was wobbling around a bit until the wobbling came to a complete stop. Try flying a different aircraft and see if it won’t stall.
Just because it’s the newest, doesn’t mean it’s the best. I’d argue the A380 is in a better state (a 737 MAX shouldn’t be able to fly from Australia to the USA in one tank).
The 737 MAX having more range than it’s supposed to isn’t really a great argument for it being a worse aircraft though.
And the A380 is the most advanced passenger aircraft in the world, so there’s that as well..
Right but the A380 can do 158 hours in ground effect
The only thing I’m guessing is that you were flying too high for the aircraft’s weight. This will eventually slow down your airspeed little by little until a stall.
Lol dude, if you remember the MAX 8 IRL had two major accidents. Lol i hope everyone else knows what meant
Definitely a totally realistic scenario to use the A380 as an ekranoplane with only one engine on. Emirates does it all the time!
Wait is this on the home screen? How come i dont see my plane this way
Fair, I guess I was making an objective statement about a subjective topic! While the fuel range might be a “bit” off, I personally find the MAX to be my target “best” aircraft at the moment, but of course I really don’t fly the A380 so I can’t say I’m necessarily right!
I guess I missed the important details about real life aviation that were “in” your post ![]()
In all seriousness though, if you were being sarcastic in your original post, that went completely over my head. In the future I’d hold off on those comments for posts by users who are genuinely looking for help, since their issues could be very frustrating and while these comments can be funny, they don’t help the OP at all ![]()
They should really try it since the A380 is the best modeled IF plane
I’ve flown the MAX and other aircraft types many times with ap+ and never had such an issue.
I’m at a loss at the moment what might be causing what your image shows.
Though why do you have flaps extended?
Well, the MAX is the best plane according to @Petre2026, maybe Southwest should launch those nonstop flights to Australia after all.
