As a French myself I can tell you that

  1. It doesn’t sound like “jeune” (young in French)
  2. I’m sure half people aren’t sure whether it’s “Joon” (3wn)* or “Djoon” (d3wn)*.

*refer to international phonetic alphabet

Some people (though not all) consider TX to be part of the Southwestern US.

In the past (1940s), Alaska Airlines had its HQ in Anchorage. I guess they wanted to keep their old name.

I think this airline’s name is too loud.
