Weird Lights on C130?

I was flying around in my C130-J and I noticed these illuminated strips of light on the aircraft when at night. Anyone know what they are?

I think they are lights from inside the airplane

They are formation lights. To help with flying in formation at night

They are on all the other fighter planes as well. Or they should be

Those may be your landing lights, turn them off and see if they go away. Looks kinda cool imo. Also might be a reflection

That is super weird!

Some C130s have reflective/Infraded/glow in the dark reflectors to assist with night ops

I believe the fighters have them as well in the form of green neon strips. Maybe not in IF

Please don’t be speculative. If you don’t know, leave the answer to someone who does.

This has been brought up before. As @Rodney_Buckland says they are neon strips called formation lights, which helps escort planes (for example fighter planes) to see where the plane is in the dark, if it flies without no lights. They are also visible with NVG’s. :)

It looks like a UFO in @Keegan_Gidley’s photo.

Maybe it is light coming from other aircraft

This would be the explanation.
