Weight and balance in solo mode

Hello everyone.

Not sure if this question should be in the support or the general category but i’ll put it in the support.

When i play in solo mode to practice my landings, i will usually put the weight that i feel is a “normal landing weight.” However, after i land and choose the short final option, the weight resets and becomes light making me re-enter the weight.

Am i missing out on anything? and what can i do so that i do not have to re-enter the weight each time?

you can just click short final click the 3 lines then set the weight and resume and it should be at the weight you want

If i set the weight at short final, its alittle too late.

The question that i was wondering is why when i set the weight at the start, it gets reset every time i choose short final

When “Short Final” is tapped, the aircraft enters a different mode and is configured for landing automatically, including the fuel quantity.

This is not a technical issue.

At the moment you are a basic user with trust level 1.
After becoming a member (with TL2), you could create a feature request in Features for configuring the aircraft manually before spawning at (short) final.

Spawning at final, instead of short final, will give you time to set things up exactly how you want.
You could do Touch & Go’s after the initial landing.
That way your settings won’t get reset.

“TIME x5” could be used to skip parts of the approach or the pattern, so you could focus on the part(s) you’d like to practice.

Using “20s Ago” might also work for you.
It will let you redo the last 20 seconds so you will be able to practice the final part.

Hope this helps! :)
