This reminds me of a family story. When my great grandmother was quite old (90 or so), she had late stage dementia. She was on a plane with my aunt from SFO-JFK, and was trying to convince my aunt that there was definitely a breeze on the plane, and that someone had opened a window. It was the overhead air vent.
