Flight Recap Cards & Monthly Wrapped
Share your landing — the moment it happens.
As soon as your landing report appears at the gate, so does a new Share button. It turns the flight you just finished into a card worth posting: your route drawn across a world map, your flight time and distance, the touchdown verdict (Butter → Firm) and the fuel you burned. One tap sends it straight to Discord, Instagram, wherever your crew hangs out — and you can pull one up for any past flight from your logbook too, not just the one you landed a minute ago.
Waypoint Wrapped — your month in the air.
Once a month, your flying gets the highlight reel it deserves. Open your profile, tap Your Wrapped, and get a story-style recap: hours flown, every airport and country you touched, your most-flown aircraft, your longest flight — ending in a share-ready summary card.
Your data stays yours. Both cards are drawn right on your device from what’s already on your screen — nothing about your flights is stored on our side.
Refresh the page to get the update (on mobile, close and reopen the tab).

Money talks — Waypoint’s first month
Waypoint is free — and it always will be. No ads, no paywalls, no account
required. But running it isn’t free for me, and since I try to be open about
everything in this project, I want to be transparent about that too.

New: Proximity Chat — talk to the pilots around you
You can now chat with other pilots flying near you, right on the map. If someone is within 150 nm of your aircraft, you share an open channel — perfect for a quick “nice landing”, forming up, or just saying hi on approach.
How it works
- Tap the new chat icon (top-right, just above the search magnifier — top-right on mobile).
- You need to be signed in and flying to send — your aircraft on the map is your identity, so there are no throwaway accounts.
- Each server has its own chat (Expert / Training / Casual), so you only talk to pilots you actually share the sky with.
Features
- @mentions — mention a nearby pilot and they get a push notification (and a little bubble on the map). Fully optional, toggle it off any time.
- Who’s in range — tap the header to see the pilots around you (callsign, aircraft, distance); tap one to fly there or to mention them.
- Emoji reactions — react to a message with
. - Reply, mute, report on any message.
- Your own settings menu in the chat: notifications, unread badge, muted list.
Keeping it safe 
- Messages are automatically filtered and moderated. Anything bad goes straight to our moderators, who can time out or ban.
- No links, no personal info. Messages disappear after an hour and are never permanently stored.
- Be kind — a lot of pilots here are young.

Update: Ocean Crossing chats
- Works over the North Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Ocean, and South Atlantic.
- It switches on its own — no button, no setup. Head out over the water and you’ll see it in the chat header (e.g. “Atlantic Crossing”).
- You still keep the pilots right around you (150 nm), so drifting into the zone never cuts off someone you were just chatting with.
Perfect for those long, lonely oceanic legs — say hi to the others out there on the tracks.

One thing that I’m not sure that is already in the app it is diversions? Sometimes on other tracking platforms, if an aircraft changed their destination after takeoff or such it would show as diverting to. I think that could be cool.

Such a great live tracker! The amount of features alone makes it one of the best out there, don’t sleep on this one.
