Great idea. Adding it as a option right now ![]()
I changed it, do you like it or do you see room for improvment? ![]()
I could make it smaller and take out the settings but i thought it could be usefull to have them.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you!
On my phone it looks like this:
So, the airport view is smaller in my case. I am not sure though whether I would prefer no settings to be able to see more or keeping the setting on screen to be able to change it quickly. ![]()
Maybe, do it like this: keep the minimizing feature of the airport panel with the settings shown and also add that when the airport panel is closed that the filter is still applied so that i have the full screen with filter active. Maybe add a little on-screen bubble/message that X filters are currently applied, e.g. “1 filter(s) applied” so that it is clear that it is a filtered view.
WOW this looks really awesome ![]()
Very nice, thank you! I think that’s the optimal solution, indeed!
Yeah! Thank´s a lot!
You´re feedback was perfect.
If you find anything please let me know.
(Btw. You soon will be able to see where the airlines park (At which gate) in real life)
That will be the next ground update
And it is online, cool idea.
You can activate it in the settings menu.
The Hover option has a small own settings menu where you can decide what you want to see.
Have fun and i would love to get some feedback ![]()
just lovely~
kudos on making it even better than i imagined
![]()
Thank so much!
Im glad you like it ![]()
Waypoint Update — Customisable layout, hover info & more
Hey everyone! A batch of updates just went live on waypoint-live.app:
Widgets — build your own layout (desktop)
You can now choose exactly which side panels you want on screen. Open the map-modes button (bottom-right, next to Fullscreen / Clear HUD) → Widgets, and toggle each one on or off: Filter, Most tracked / Friends, Active ATC, Fleet Board, Featured airports, Events. Your choice is remembered.
Hover info (desktop)
Hover your cursor over any aircraft to get a little label — no click needed, perfect for quickly scrubbing through traffic when zoomed out. You decide what it shows (up to 2 of: callsign, username, virtual airline, livery, aircraft, speed, altitude) via the gear next to the toggle in Settings.
Filter for “Unknown type” aircraft
The devs’ unreleased test aircraft show up without a type. There’s now an “Unknown type” option at the top of the aircraft filter (desktop + mobile) so you can hunt them down — or hide them.
Minimisable airport panel (mobile)
The airport panel is now a proper bottom sheet: swipe the header down to shrink it to a compact bar, swipe up to bring it back. And there’s a second, even smaller step when you’ve got a filter active…
(more on that very soon!)
Fixes
- Fixed the globe view showing aircraft through the planet while rotating — the far side is now correctly hidden.
- Fixed the map zoom buttons getting pushed up / covered on desktop.
Refresh the page to get the update (on mobile, close and reopen the tab).

You can now also swipe down both times to get to the smaller view ![]()
Waypoint Update — See which airlines park where
Hey everyone! This is a big one, and it’s live right now on waypoint-live.app ![]()
Airlines on every gate
Open any airport and each gate now shows which airlines use it — most of them by name. Tap a gate for a quick “Parks here: British Airways, Iberia …”. Great for picking a realistic stand before you spawn in.
“Where does my airline park?”
New filter in the airport panel: pick an airline and the map highlights only its gates. Stack it with the “which gate fits my aircraft” size filter to pinpoint, e.g., exactly where a 777-sized Qatar stand is.
Worldwide
It’s drawn from real-world airline schedules across ~2,300 airports — from the mega-hubs down to smaller regional fields, including a lot of Asian hubs that had nothing before.
Missing airline or spotted a mistake?
Tell us! Hop into the Waypoint Discord and drop a quick /report in the #terminal-bot channel — something like “BA missing at EGLL Terminal 5”. It lands straight with the team and we’ll get it fixed. Every report makes the map better for everyone. ![]()

Waypoint Update
Hey everyone! A batch of new bits just landed on waypoint-live.app — here’s what’s new:
Airline Badges
- Every flight now wears its airline’s code as a compact badge in the app’s accent colour — spot it on airport gates, in the Most tracked list, and on the hover label when you point at an aircraft (desktop).

- We keep widening airline coverage
— added carriers like AeroLogic, Privilege Style, Hunnu Air, Envoy Air and Jetstar Japan, corrected a handful of codes, and filled gaps such as easyJet at Marrakesh and United’s new Tokyo–Ulaanbaatar route. - Spotted a wrong or missing airline? Let us know in the Waypoint Discord and we’ll fix it.

Airport Hover Info (desktop)
- Point at any airport on the map to see its name + ICAO code right there — quick to scan without clicking. Turn it on in Settings → Map → “Airport hover info”.

UTC Clock (desktop)
- A UTC (Zulu) clock now sits in the header next to the server picker — the time you actually plan and file flights in. On by default; hide it any time in Settings → Map.

Settings, Tidied Up
- Settings are now split into three tabs —
Map,
Aircraft and
Alerts — so everything’s easier to find. - The new Aircraft tab gathers everything about the planes themselves: the labels above them, hide AP+ / parked aircraft, smooth motion, and the Multi view / Multi follow modes.
Export Your Flight
- Download any flight’s flown track as a KML file.
Refresh the page to get the update (on mobile, close and reopen the tab).

looks really good, love how the flightpath looks
thanks!
Thank you so much!
Weather Update — Waypoint
The big one is here: Waypoint now shows the weather. And it’s the real-world forecast weather — the actual winds, clouds and storms out there right now, practically the same conditions you fly in Infinite Flight. ![]()
Everything below is individually toggleable and off by default — flip on only what you want. On desktop it lives in the new
cloud-and-sun button (bottom-right, under Fullscreen); on mobile it’s the new Weather tab in Settings.
Winds Aloft
- Animated wind flow across the whole map — the real winds at your altitude.
- Altitude slider from Ground all the way to FL450, smoothly interpolated between levels. Watch the jet stream light up at cruise.

- Option to freeze the animation into a still snapshot of the flow.
- In the flight panel: wind + head/tailwind at the aircraft’s exact position and altitude.
Cloud Cover
- A soft cloud veil from the real-world forecast.
- Pick a layer: Low / Mid / High / All, each with its altitude spelled out (low below ~6,500 ft, mid ~6,500–20,000 ft, high above ~20,000 ft).
Rain Radar
- Live precipitation overlay, with a play button to animate the past ~2 hours.

Flight Conditions & Airport Winds
- Colour every airport by live METAR: VFR green, MVFR blue, IFR red, LIFR magenta.
- Surface wind arrows on airports, coloured by strength.
In the Panels
- Destination weather (wind, visibility, QNH) right in the flight panel.
- Airport panel gains cloud layers, ceiling and the TAF forecast below the METAR.
Severe Weather Alerts
- Opt-in push alerts for real hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones worldwide
— the same storms spinning out there right now, so “hurricane hunting” is on the menu. - Choose all named storms or hurricanes only — your call on how often you get pinged.
- Tap an alert and the map flies straight to the storm, with the winds switched on at the altitude they blow hardest.

- New Active storms window (in the weather menu) lists every storm spinning right now, each with an ↑ intensifying / ↓ weakening arrow — tap one to jump there.
A note: weather layers automatically switch off while you’re in 3D follow/replay to keep things smooth — your panel readouts stay. And none of this touches the map unless you turn it on.
As always, feedback and bug reports very welcome! ![]()
Refresh the page to get the update (on mobile, close and reopen the tab).
waypoint-live.app
New: with winds on, tap an empty spot on the map to read the wind — direction and speed at your selected altitude, updating live as you slide through the levels. Desktop & mobile.
Hey everyone! Waypoint (the live map & flight tracker for Infinite Flight) now has an Android app, and it’s in closed beta on the Google Play Store. I’m looking for a few testers to help get it released publicly. ![]()
How to join:
- Send me the email address you use on the Google Play Store (your Google/Gmail account) — (DM me here or on Discord: Waypoint-live )
- Once I’ve added you, I’ll send you back a link to opt in and download the app from the Play Store.
Important: Google requires at least 12 testers who stay in the test for 14 straight days before the app can go public. So please keep the app installed for the two weeks — you don’t have to use it daily, just don’t remove it. ![]()
This is Android only for now (Play Store). Thanks so much for helping — it makes a real difference! ![]()
