Waypoint — a free live map/radar for Infinite Flight ✈️

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

For the past few weeks I’ve been building Waypoint, a live map for Infinite Flight, and I’m finally ready to share it and ask for your feedback.

It shows everything happening right now across all three servers on an interactive world map — and it’s completely free: every feature, no paywalls, no ads, no account, no sign-up.

What it does

Live traffic

  • Every flight on Expert, Training and Casual, updating live
  • :airplane: A unique icon for almost every aircraft type — a 737 looks like a 737, an A380 like an A380, a Cessna like a Cessna, military jets too. Sizes scale by aircraft so the map stays readable
  • Aircraft are coloured/labelled by airline, and you can filter by airport, route, livery, model or callsign

For controllers / ATC

  • :tokyo_tower: Active ATC — every open frequency, who’s controlling it, how long they’ve been online, and their total ATC operations
  • :clipboard: ATIS parsed into wind, weather and active runways (colour-coded head/cross/tailwind)
  • :sun_behind_rain_cloud: Closed airports still show the real-world METAR and the wind-favoured runway, even with no ATC online

Airports & flights

  • :star: Featured airports for today and tomorrow (full daily schedule, including event days)
  • :magnifying_glass_tilted_right: Search any flight (callsign or forum name) or any airport (name or ICAO)
  • :chart_increasing: Open any flight for its route, altitude/speed profile, full flight plan (copyable), parking status and pilot stats (grade, landings, XP, violations, etc.)

Other

  • :mobile_phone::laptop: Works great on both mobile and desktop
  • :first_quarter_moon: Day/night terminator, “most tracked” panel, and more

This is a passion project and I’d love to hear what you think — what’s useful, what’s missing, what feels off. And if it doesn’t work on your device, I’d be really happy if you let me know (which device + browser) so I can fix it.

Just checked it out, looks very cool. I like the filter feature you have implemented, looks very cool with the KLAX featured airport today!

Thank you so much. And just gave me an idea, im gonna do a better Filter where you can Filter for an specific airport and see both the inbound and outbound traffic! Once added i will post it here.

I love this very clean and smooth and I like the fr24 feel, one thing is i’m not sure if you have it but i didint see it, A filter for VA’s

Done!

Small update: :airplane:

  • :magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Added a Virtual Airline (VA) filter — filter the map by any VA (thanks for the suggestion!)
  • :bug: Fixed a UI bug where the detail panel could overlap the top bar

I forgot to add, for the Upate to work you will need to refresh the Page or on mobile even close the Tab and reopen it.

Update: :airplane_departure:

  • :airplane_arrival: New Airport filter — show all traffic in + out of any airport at once
  • :straight_ruler: Made the filter panel a bit taller so all filters are easier to reach

:warning: If you already have the site open, please reload the page to get the update. On mobile it can help to fully close the tab and reopen it.

It also helps IFATC find busy airspace, rather than just opening and finding the airport empty.
