I have pictures to show you what I mean. There is only one lake or body of water that shows up on the terrain map for Charlotte.
It is a known issue I believe. The same happens in Florida.
The Thames is also missing from London.
I think because it’s not a big surface of water, this is why ;-)
This looks pretty amazing :D
It’s a compromise between good map performance and having enough details for safe flying :)
The maps on Infinite Flight don’t show freshwater bodies. Lakes, rivers etc will only show up in Teheran real terrain.
Will that ever change? Personally, I think at least including large rivers or lakes would be nice (ex. Thames, and I think someone said there was a large lake missing in SoFlo).
It’s nice, but is it crucial? It can impact performance a fair amount, especially in densely populated areas (and as we expand to new terrain features with global flight)
I think a fix may have been leaked…
I see your point. Just wondering :)
If that screen on Turbulent Tuesday is real then it would be great. Otherwise I think it is just an overlay of the weather map with IF points to illustrate the storms for the event.
I don’t think it’s because of the weather map, professional weather maps don’t have pixelated lakes :)
