Was HUD improved?

I noticed the last couple days the HUD horziontal “scribe” lines are easier to read, as if there was a shadow placed on them.
I recall during the yearly SF podcast Laura mentioned comments from community and @Phillipe, I believe, said he was working on it and going to do a shadow.

Hello, Richard! The HUD hasn’t been improved on the latest version but we are in fact making constant tweaks and evaluations of it’s current state so it’ll be effective under any lighting conditions around the globe. We’ll definitely share our progress along the way if we make any major breakthroughs for those looking out for a feature like this!

Thanks, maybe it’s the lighting off the terrain giving the effect.
