I hope this helps, don’t fly there
Things look a lot different @ FL340:
Remember most aircraft would be at cruise passing over that area, in the region of FL280 - FL400
For me that’s a reason to fly there… No risk, no fun.
i wanna check it out
I don’t see what the problem is. It’s typical to have stupid-fast winds over the North Atlantic. Nothing out of the ordinary.
ENBO, Bodoe airbase/airport in Northern Norway have 40G55KT. I’m there in a Dash now.
No chance!! Get me there now in a little dude eg TBM or maximum Dash-8 Q400. Landing in this is great fun and really tricky. Develops your skills, plus the runways in Iceland are short and thin adding to the challenge. I say “Attention - Great landing conditions nearby Iceland and northwest if Norway”
It’d be great however for people flying west to east across the Atlantic. It’s real fun getting my ground speed to ridiculous levels while at a normal airspeed.
